*Starting in the 2026-2027 School Year PHCC’s will be replacing our Threes Class with a Baby Gators Class (2 and younger 3 year-olds) and our Fours Class with a Junior Gators Class (older 3s and 4 year-olds)*
PHCC’s play-based 3s/4s preschool class meets 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays) from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with an extended day option until 2:30 PM (an additional 2 hours). Any 3 year-old must turn 3 by March 1 and be fully potty-trained to be in the Junior Gators Class. This class focuses on promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development through a balanced mix of structured activities (like Circle Time), teacher-led instruction, and free-play. In PHCC’s Junior Gators Class children engage in a structured yet flexible schedule focusing on foundational academic skills like letter recognition, counting, handwriting (Handwriting Without Tears program), etc. PHCC also focuses on critical social-emotional learning, communication skills, and physical development through hands-on play and exploration in dedicated learning centers. With a low student-to-teacher ratio PHCC’s 2 co-teachers to 18 students class, and 1 teacher to 10 students class (and when applicable classroom volunteers) provide attention and support to ensure each child’s needs are met. By blending play with an academic curriculum PHCC’s program is designed to foster a love of learning, as well as creativity and independence, preparing PHCC’s Junior Gators Class for the transition to Kindergarten.
