As a member of PHCC each family has committed to be an active participant in the operations of the preschool. Each family will be responsible for the execution of one job for the school year. Below is a list and summary of each available job. Each job is an essential part of the successful operations of the school.  

Executive Board Positions: The operations of PHCC are managed by a voluntary group of members who come together throughout the school year to discuss and make decisions in the best interest of all members. The following board positions are available each year. Please consider joining the Executive Board.

President-Executive Board Member – 1
Presides at all parent and executive board meetings; assigns jobs to new parents; appoints all special committees; prepares teacher contracts; prepares monthly newsletter; refers to and completes monthly to do lists as outlined in Presidents Binder; must be available to work at all times in cooperation with teachers in organizing and coordinating all preschool affairs. Helps the Board prepare for the annual Bull Roast fundraiser and assists with other school events. Attends (and presides) all regular (about every 6 weeks) executive board meetings. Job starts in the summer. Makes purchases for school and will be reimbursed by submitting a PHCC reimbursement form and attaching receipts.
Treasurer – Executive Board Member – 1
Collects, disburses and records all monies; submits a financial record at all board and parent meetings and at year-end; and files official forms with federal, local and state governments. Other duties include: teacher payroll. Helps the Board prepare for the annual Bull Roast fundraiser and assists with other school events. Attends regular (about every 6 weeks) executive board meetings. Job starts in the summer. Makes purchases for school and will be reimbursed by submitting a PHCC reimbursement form and attaching receipt.
Vice President (1 per school OR class) – Executive Board Member – 1-2
There is one Vice President for the school OR one for each class when available/necessary. The VP(s) are in charge of all Board sponsored after school activities/events: Ice Cream Social, Sweetheart BINGO and Bike Night (with help from the Board). The VP(s) are also responsible for performing duties of the President in her/his absence. Helps the Board prepare for the annual Bull Roast fundraiser. Attends regular (about every 6 weeks) executive board meetings. Job starts in the summer. Makes purchases for school and will be reimbursed by submitting a PHCC reimbursement form and attaching receipt.
Multi-Media Coordinator – Executive Board Member – 1
Provides publicity to prospective members and convenience to current members by maintaining and updating the PHCC website. Purchases the domain yearly and keeps site up-to-date and running. Posts dates of events and any other information as requested. Sends mass emails on behalf of school and keeps Facebook page current. Helps the Board prepare for the annual Bull Roast fundraiser and assists with other school events. Attends regular (about every 6 weeks) executive board meetings. Job starts in the summer. Makes purchases for school and will be reimbursed by submitting a PHCC reimbursement form and attaching receipt.
Membership Coordinator – Executive Board Member – 1
Handles all aspects of registration for new members; records and organizes all medical records; health forms and emergency cards. Discuss responsibilities of cooperative parent with new parents and prospective members; handles open house, registration days and advertising for any school openings. Prepares class rosters for new school year and organizes student files. Helps the Board prepare for the annual Bull Roast fundraiser and assists with other school events. Attends regular (about every 6 weeks) executive board meetings. Job starts in the summer. Makes purchases for school and will be reimbursed by submitting a PHCC reimbursement form and attaching receipt.
Secretary – Executive Board Member – 1
Records all minutes for executive board and parent meetings; keeps a record of all attendance at meetings; sends letters to parents not in attendance at parents meetings; conducts necessary correspondence for school, i.e. thank you letters, business letters.  Posts minutes on school notice board.  Helps the Board prepare for the annual Bull Roast fundraiser and assists with other school events. Attends regular (about every 6 weeks) executive board meetings. Job starts in the summer. Makes purchases for school and will be reimbursed by submitting a PHCC reimbursement form and attaching receipt.

Non-Board Member Positions:  The following jobs are essential to the everyday operations of the preschool.  Most positions will be executed under the direct supervision of the teacher and will be performed as needed throughout the school year.  

Librarian – 1
Work closely with the teacher in performing all duties pertaining to the library; check out books for children; maintain inventory; mend books that need repair.
Playground Maintenance – 1
Make frequent checks of the playground equipment; make arrangements to repair broken or damaged equipment; advise the Board of Directors of any equipment that may need to be replaced; ensure there is enough mulch and that it is evenly dispersed throughout the playground; sweep the mulch from the sidewalk and parking lot back into the playground as needed. 
Rug Maintenance – 1
Thoroughly clean (scrub, shampoo, etc.) the classroom and playroom rugs when needed. Usually at the beginning of the year, mid-year and end of the year. The teacher(s) will communicate when rug maintenance can/will take place. * Would help if you had your own steam cleaner/shampooer, but it is not necessary.  
Dress-Up Maintenance – 1
Remove, clean, repair (minimal) and rotate the dress-ups in the playroom. The teacher(s) will communicate when this is to be done throughout the school year.
Party Organizer (1 per class) – 2
Work closely with the teacher to set up for special party days: Thanksgiving,Holiday, Donuts with Grown-Ups, and End of Year/Graduation; assemble games, supplies, stories, etc. to coincide with above when needed. Help conduct activities during the parties that take place in St. Michael’s Fellowship Hall. *Need to be available to set-up parties morning of, attend parties (during the school day), help clean up after parties are over.
Yearbook Historian (1 per class) – 2
Take and collect pictures throughout the school year in order to create a student yearbook. Yearbooks are created using professional websites such as Snapfish, Shutterfly, etc. Maintain a class list to note which students have/have not signed the photo release form; utilize a digital drop box or class Facebook pages for parents, grandparents, etc. to share their pictures that they take during volunteer days or other events/activities with the children. The Yearbook Historians will create a yearbook for each child in the class, as well as the teacher; Yearbooks should be ready to be distributed in May (unless discussed with parents and the teacher to be given out later). Yearbook Historians will be reimbursed (within pre-set annual budget) per student/teacher by filling out a reimbursement form with attached receipts included; any money spent over the predetermined budget is the responsibility of the Yearbook Historian (not parents). 
Slideshow Historian (4s Class Only) – 1
Take and collect pictures throughout the school year in order to create an end of the year slideshow for the Graduation Ceremony. Historians should maintain a class list to note which students have/have not signed the photo release form; utilize a digital drop box or class Facebook pages for parents, grandparents, etc. to share their pictures that they take during volunteer days or other events/activities with the children; the 4s Yearbook Historians should work collaboratively to share pictures for both Yearbook and Slideshow.
Recycling & Trash Helper (1 per class) – 2
Remove the recycling and trash from the classroom and take to the “dumpsters” in St. Michael’s parking lot when necessary/notified by the teacher(s) to do so.
Teachers’ Helper (1 per class) – 2
Help the teachers with different activities/projects for the classroom, such as: cutting, assembling, etc.
Toy Cleaner
Take toys, etc. from the classroom and playroom home to clean in bleach bath(s) and bring back to school. This job will be consistent throughout the school year. The teacher(s) will communicate when this is to be done.
